The purpose of this study is to examine the attitudes of candidate teachers toward teaching physical education in comparison with some variables. There are 110 students studying at the Akdeniz University Department of Physical Education and Sports in the fall semester of 2011-2012, participated the research. Data was collected through the "Teaching Profession Attitude Scale", developed by Cetin (2006). In the computer analysis of data, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, T-test and ANOVA were used As a result, scores of candidate teachers\' attitudes toward teaching was found "high". It was found that there was a high correlation between the total attitude scores and subscale scores of affection(r = 0.974)' value(r = 0.741) and adaptation(r = 0.845). There was a high correlation between the subscales of affection and value (r :0,614), and subscales of affection and adaptation (r:0,780). There was a low correlation between the subscales of value and adaptation (r: 0,473). In addition, There was a significant relationship between students\' personal information and some Professional attitudes.
