The Gunyuzu rocks are located to SE of the Tavsanli zone and trend NW-SE. They are composed of granite, granodiorite and granite porphyry. They are metaluminous-peraluminous, medium- to high-K calc-alkaline (I- and S-types) intrusions. The Rb-Sr dating method for the Gunyuzu granites indicates Middle-Late Eocene ages (47.0 +/- 1.0 to 40.8 +/- 3.0 Ma). Initial values of Sr-87/Sr-86 in the granites are between 0.70667 and 0.70620. Low values of molar K2O/Na2O, Al2O3/(FeO+MgO+TiO2) and (Na2O+K2O)/(FeO+MgO+TiO2) ratios show that the magma(s) in thes zone could be derived from lower crustal rocks.
