Medical Technologies National Conference (TIPTEKNO), Bodrum, Türkiye, 15 - 18 Ekim 2015, (Tam Metin Bildiri)
The electrical property of the human tissue changes according to the species and healthiness of the tissue. Benefiting from these features of the tissue, the diagnosis and treatment process can be carried out effectively. In imaging and diagnosis applications such as electrical impedance imaging method, the determination of the electrical conductivity of the human tissue is pretty critical. Electrical stimulation in medical safety limits can be applied to the human for diagnostic and treatment purposes. Sinusoidal signal can be injected to the tissue by Voltage Controlled Current Source in a controlled manner through special current electrodes. Voltage Controlled Current Source design is implemented according to Howland or Tietze Topology and operates independent of any load. The magnitude of the output current is adjustable at desired levels. The programmable current source is implemented with embedded systems. The feasibility and test procedure of the device is carried out step by step. Load independent current source is capable of injecting sinusoidal electrical signal in the frequency range of 1 Hz - 1 MHz at the magnitude of 0 to 10 mA. Frequency and the magnitude information is monitorized on the LCD screen.
