In this research, how artists in various branches with different forms of practice incorporate the phenomenon of sustainability into their works has been examined, and the relationship between art and sustainability has been evaluated. By conducting a detailed literature review, the historical process of awareness of the concept of sustainability and the development of related forms of practice have been discussed. With the information obtained, the classification of artistic practices related to sustainability constitutes an important part of the research. During the classification, the works of artists who can be an example of this issue in contemporary art are divided into two main groups: material and awareness oriented. Material-oriented artistic production practices include works de-signed using recycled, sustainable materials within the framework of the artists' own styles. In both titles, the artworks were read by considering the technique and style of the artists, and the findings obtained were interpreted with a descriptive approach and evaluated in the context of sustainability. As a result, the evaluations regarding the findings are expected to increase the awareness level of researchers, designers and artists in the context of the concept of sustainability in art, and also to shed light on the other research to be conducted. The fact that contemporary art practices do not only create aesthetic pleasure but also play an active role in the awareness and solution of social, environmental and societal problems shows the importance of art in the context of sustainability.
