Abstract

The Effects of Kovid-19 on Tourism in Rural Areas in the World Rural tourism and tourism activities in rural areas are important for development in rural areas. The relationship between rural development and rural tourism has been the subject of many studies. The findings draw attention to the positive effects of rural tourism on rural society. Therefore, the development of rural tourism, in a way, creates an environment for an increase in welfare in the countryside and a balanced distribution of income distribution. With the emergence of the global Covid-19 epidemic in December 2019, mass tourism suffered great losses. On the other hand, it has been revealed in various studies that it has positive effects on rural tourism. In this context, in this statement; The situation that has emerged with the effect of Covid-19 on rural tourism and rural tourism activities, which have gained importance in recent years, will be discussed. The positive effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on rural tourism will be emphasized, especially in less populated areas and small residential areas, in safe and low-risk areas.
