Aim: To evaluate psychometric properties of the Turkey version of the Caregiver Self-Efficacy in Contributing to Patient Self-Care Scale (CSE-CSC-Tr) in Chronic Conditions in a Western Asian country. Methods: We enrolled a sample of caregivers who cared for patients with chronic conditions in inpatient and outpatient settings in Turkey. We evaluate CSE-CSC-Tr dimensionality with Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). To test convergent validity, we correlated CSE-CSC-Tr scores with Caregiving Competence Scale (CCS) scores with Pearson's correlation. We used Cronbach's α and McDonald's ω to test internal consistency reliability. Finally, we used Intraclass correlation coefficients (ICCs) for test-retest reliability. Results: CFA confirmed the two-factor structure of the CSE-CSC. Convergent validity of the CSE-CSC-Tr with CCS was supported (r range: .82-.88). Reliability estimates ranged between .94 and .95. ICCs ranged between .82-.88. Conclusions: CSE-CSC-Tr showed strong validity and reliability in family caregivers of individuals with chronic conditions living in a Western Asian Country.
