Abstract
The growth of traffic has exacerbated a number of problems like congestion and delay. In the field of dynamictraffic management, providing systems that disseminate necessary information to drivers and guide trafficaccording to the most efficient paths considering the current traffic conditions has been a central idea.Information technology gained predominance as the limitations of traditional traffic engineering becameapparent. This paper elaborates on Driver Information and reviews critically current technologies available.Need for the applications of such systems is also addressed.
