The aim of the study is to determine the university students’ understanding of citizenship belonging. For this purpose, a 24-item scale on citizenship belonging was developed. In this context, psychometric characteristics and the findings of the scale were evaluated by carrying out the attitude scale on 467 students studying in Ankara University. To determine the validity of the scale, exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were carried out. Item test correlation analysis was also administered to determine the discriminate analysis. In addition, alpha coefficient was calculated to specify the reliability of the scale. In the first part of the scale, a questionnaire was presented to gather the personal and educational information of students. The t-test and variance analysis were conducted between the data gathered from the first part and the scale scores. In addition, fatalism and life satisfaction scales were administered to the same group of students, and their relationship between the scales of citizenship belonging was examined.
