Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the level of metacognitive awareness of students in Nursing and midwifery program of a public university in Amasya, Turkey. This is a quantitative study. The population of the present study included a total of 398 students studying, in the spring 2018 semester. In the present study, it has been aimed to reach to the entire population without using any sample selection method. The metacognitive awareness inventory is developed by Schraw and Dennison and adapted to Turkish by Akin et al. The MAI measures; scores ranged 71-258, with a mean score of 184.82 (SD 32.96).The aim of this study was to determine the level of metacognitive awareness of students in Nursing and midwifery program of a public university in Amasya, Turkey.
