The effect of melatonin implant on testis size and plasma testosterone concentration during non breeding season in coloured mohair male goats

Özet
The effect of melatonin treatment on the testis size and plasma testosterone concentration in male coloured Mohair goats was investigated during non-breeding season. Seven animals were used in each of the control and melatonin group. The mean scrotal circumference and testis diameter increased in both groups throughout the period of investigation. A significant increase in the plasma testosterone concentration was observed at 7th week following implantation.
