Özet

Political philosophy is one of the main issues of philosophy. One of the essential problem of political philosophy is that what is the best form of state and that whether the problem of ideal form of state is democracy or not. In this respect, Muslim philosophers are also engaged with those issues and they explain their ideas about them. Muslim philosophers' understandings of politics-state are closely related to the issues of metaphysics and ethics. This article deals with the peripatetic philosophers' ideas about state and democracy in the context of their political philosophy. As there are similarities about the peripatetic philosophers' ideas on the issues between them, there are also some differences on the same topics among them. In this context, it can be said that all the peripatetic philosophers' approaches to the issue of democracy are the negative.
