Abstract

ABSTRACT

Culture is constituted of human-specific knowledge, belief, behaviors. The substantial objects which are the part of this constitution involve material and immaterial factors like languages, thoughts, traditions, symbols, corporations, acts, tools, techniques, work of arts. Shortly, culture is whole of tangible and intangible outcomes that are inherited from generation to generation socially not biologically. These outcomes differ in each society but increase in value and importance when it reach to global id. Culture is one the important worth which has systematic flow (sometimes from specific to general, sometimes from general to specific) and it composes the base of fine arts education.

In conjunction with increase of intercultural dialogs, cultural diversity comes with the union and communion of cultures in art and also in education. So art and art education became most common language of cultural sharing. Mobility and exchange programs increasingly continue and they have great importance for instructors and students who are the inseparable components of education.

Mobility agreements between departments of fine art faculties and same or familiar departments of foreign universities help to strengthen and enable continuousness of intercultural dialogs. Turkish universities became a part of these mobility and exchange programs in 2003. By means of the European Union Education and Youth Programmes (Erasmus, Comenius, Leonardo Da Vinci, Jean Monnet, Grundtvig) and after Mevlana Program cultural dialogs increased in fine arts education.

The purpose of this study is reviewing the outcomes of international mobility and exchange

programs which are effectively experienced in Akdeniz University, Faculty of Fine Arts during the recent years.
