Özet

As reactive behavior in social context can affect individual's social skills,it can also affect thinking and ability of expressing thought, in other words, competence of using language and cognitive skills effectively. While individual develops his personality, he exhibits behaviors in the face of the circumstances in social structure. While individual exhibits his pleasure, he exhibits reactive behaviors like smile or laugh especially in social structure. Joke, anecdote, caricature, quip and puns are very effective for coming out of some positive behaviors like smile or laugh in social surroundings. Humour, which contains many structures like natural conversation, joking, using facetiae, allusions, puns, nice anectodes, unintended humorous speaking motions and anecdotes, is a style of reasoning with its significant components as social, emotional, cognitive and language. As setting off secure and amusing-medium with humour elements strengthens communication between teacher and learner, it also enables to develop a student-centered education process. Humour, which effects education process from social, psychological, cognitive aspects positively, will enable to upskill basic linguistic skills like listening, speaking, reading and reading comprehension and interpretation, which are necessray for teaching Turkish to the children truely. Use of the humour elements which are together with laughing actions like anecdote, tongue twister, riddle which are some of the verbal or written linguistic products improves vocabulary of children and their interpretation of more complicated meanings of the words in mind are dwelled on in this study.
