People
with disabilities who restricted for
different reasons in societies , in the community have a variety of
difficulties and continue to live away from society , they realized their social
and social participation by demonstrating their skills in the environment
created for them within the scope of our project .
Disabled
persons who come with their companions from abroad have fused with disabled
individuals and their families in our foundation in Antalya . They shared their
experiences and developed their skills in the workshop environment together. The
skills of people with disabilities who came to our country from different
countries and different cultures in Antalya were followed with interest and
appreciation. The fact that people with disabilities have come from abroad,
travels to a different country by plane has been measured in terms of social
rehabilitation and social participation.
It
is seen that individuals with disabilities feel themselves as individuals with
equal citizenship rights like other people and their self-confidence has
improved. Project objectives have been fully realized.
We
have participated in our project as a companion in the age range of 18-30 with
4 mentally disabled persons and 2 disabled individuals, the parents of 1
disabled person and 1 psychologist who is a disabled person as a companion. The
lady named LJUBA BARBEREOVA adopted the disabled David Barberova after birth
because she has no children. She learned later that she had a handicap . David
is 27 years old and the only one in his life . This was observed as a very
humanistic example in the background of our project.
Instead
of Kosovo, Macedonia has been included in the project as a joint change in our
project. In our project, handicapped individuals have produced artistic
products, due to these activities, body integrity and body coordination has
been developed. In the scope of our project, the disabled people have been
presented with the theme of love and respect in the Happiness Workshop .
With
the dissemination activities of the project, it is emphasized that the
opportunities given to the disabled individuals are the most important factor
that positively affects their participation in the productive life, the
activities of the project were exhibited in the Disabled Schools of Antalya,
and the sharing of experience and experience among the disabled individuals was
observed. Also the continuity of the projects and the desired behaviors for
inclusion in the projects were observed.
