Objectives
Project “PROMOTING VALUE EDUCATION THROUGH SPORTS – CREATING JOINT ACTIONS” aims to: Develop a network of Value education through sports multipliers by enabling partner organizations to develop future Erasmus + projects and run high-quality education activities on value education.
Objectives of the project are:
1. Explore and understand the principles of Olympic education, education through sports, value education, and non-formal education;
2. Learn how to facilitate the educational process using physical activity, and sports as a specific educational approach and its cohesion with non-formal education;
3. Provide participants with competencies of facilitation, educational activity design, running reflection and evaluation activities;
4. Create a space for participants to develop and share best practices in education through sports: approaches, methods, and tools;Objectives
Activities
The idea of the project “PROMOTING VALUE EDUCATION THROUGH SPORTS – CREATING JOINT ACTIONS” is to implement 2 international training courses in Lithuania. 1st - training course “Training of trainers working with Olympic value program”. Duration 7 days. The training course will be implemented on 18 - 26th of November 2024. This training course will gather 35 youth workers, educators, sports coaches, and former athletes who are working or planning to start working with children and youth and train teachers and educators in their countries using the OVEP program.
2nd training course “OVEP project laboratory”. Duration 5 days plus 2 travel days. The training course will be implemented end of January 2025. The training course will gather 35 sports managers, youth workers, educators, and former athletes who want to learn how to develop international “Erasmus +” projects to promote the OVEP program. Also, the participants will have an opportunity to find future partners with whom they can together implement future projects.
Impact - The project brings together 14 partners, that are Naitonal Olympic committees, Olympic academies, Universities. These partners work with OVEP program and also have local multiplier networks. The project will allow to strengthen the local networks. The OVEP implementation systems will be improved or created by help of the projects. Educational services of project partner organizations will be improved.
- Partners will create an international cooperation network, that together will implement future Erasmus + projects.
- 70 multipliers will be trained that will promote not only Olympic but also European fundamental values.
- Cross-sectoral cooperation networks between youth workers, educators, sports coaches, NGO representatives will be created in each project country. The national networks will be able to cooperate after the project will be
5. Explore different realities of education through sport, Olympic value education, non-formal education in project countries;
6. Explore opportunities how to cooperate in the future by using Erasmus + and European solidarity corp programs.
7. Develop ideas and find partners for future Erasmus + projects.
Impact

- Participants of the training courses will be more aware of their roles as youth workers, when they will be delivering daily youth work activities.
- Future Erasmus + project developed by the participants of this project and project partners will have a stronger link to daily youth work activities.
