Proje Özeti

In many farmed fish, particularly multiple-batch spawners like European plaice (Pleuronectes platessa), the failure to spontaneously release eggs necessitates stressful manual stripping to prevent broodstock loss. This study aims to develop a refined hormonal strategy to promote reliable autonomous egg release, enhancing both hatchery efficiency and fish welfare. The research is structured into two sequential experiments using 3 m diameter tanks. Experiment 1 evaluates efficiency of Prostaglandin-F2α to stimulate self-release in the presence or absence of sGnRHa. Based on these results, experiment 2 focuses on a dose-response evaluation of Prostaglandin-F2α (0.5, 1, and 1.5 mg/kg) to trigger the natural spawning reflex. Key metrics including spawning latency, fecundity, and hatching success will be quantified to establish a scalable protocol for sustainable broodstock management.
